Privacy Policy
This policy explains what YogaMood collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect
We may collect account details such as name and email, practice preferences, mood scores, session history, optional journal notes and reflection tags, favorites, program progress, reminder settings, subscription status, AI Coach usage counts, and basic app interaction or diagnostic data.
How information is used
We use this information to authenticate accounts, personalize recommendations, provide requested AI guidance, sync progress, provide subscriptions, calculate insights, deliver requested reminders, support users, protect the service, and understand which product experiences are useful.
AI Practice Coach
When a Premium member chooses to use AI Practice Coach, YogaMood sends the member's current mood, practice preferences, and optional question through a secured Firebase function to OpenAI to generate a response. YogaMood does not send journal notes or full session history to the AI service and does not store the question or generated response in Firestore. We store a monthly usage count to enforce the feature limit. OpenAI processes submitted information under its applicable terms and privacy policy.
Service providers
YogaMood uses Firebase for authentication, cloud data, server functions, diagnostics, and analytics; RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements and subscription status; and OpenAI to generate optional Premium AI Coach guidance. Apple or Google processes store payments. These providers handle data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Storage and retention
Guest data remains on the device unless the app is removed or its data is cleared. Signed-in data may remain in our cloud systems while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, legal, or operational purposes.
Your choices
You can edit preferences, disable reminders, avoid optional journal notes, sign out, or request access, correction, export, or deletion of account data. The in-app Delete Account action removes your known synced profile and practice records. You can also use the web deletion instructions. Store subscriptions must be managed through Apple or Google.
Children
YogaMood is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access rules for cloud data. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. A revised effective date will appear here. Contact support with privacy questions or requests.
